Our Process

Our yarn is 100% cashmere and 100% recycled. It comes from sweaters that have been “abandoned” and rediscovered in thrift stores. It retains all the wonderful properties of first run cashmere yarn.

Once rediscovered, the sweaters are washed in eco-friendly soap, and then taken apart. Yarns from different sweaters are combined to create one of a kind colorways. The newly plied yarns are then washed again and wound into skeins.

Each batch is unique, much like a dye-lot, as we will likely never find the exact same sweaters again. The batches average 2000-3000 yards total, and usually contain 10-15 skeins - plenty for even the biggest sweater should you be so inclined.
